In 2016, Brakes became part of the Sysco family – giving Brakes access to new processes, products and technology that come from being part of the largest foodservice company in the world.

Sysco founded the foodservice industry over 50 years ago and leads with integrity, inclusion and responsibility. With over 6,500 employees, Sysco offers the largest range of own-brand products in foodservice and continues the entrepreneurial spirit of Brake Brothers.

In 2018, Sysco became the first foodservice wholesaler to sign up for WRAP’s UK plastic pact and aims to eliminate non-recyclable hard black plastics from its own-brand products by 2020.

Sysco is committed to sustainability and has a goal to reduce emissions by 27.5% by 2030. The company uses solar panels, offers traceable products and offers a range of responsibly sourced products such as Red Tractor accredited meat and MSC certified fish. Here at Brakes Sysco, we understand that choosing your next steps after school or college can be a challenging one. We offer a range of apprenticeships including Supply Chain, Warehousing, Business Administration, Finance Administrator and of course we also have our Driver apprenticeship!
